Thankfully, this is a game where there is quite a fair amount of things to tweak. It does start dropping dramatically when enemies are present and when explosions happen. Standing still I can get something between 25 and 30 fps. So what I have simply done is to set the preset into Low for the moment. Let's see how much of a difference the settings do. And high means an average of 15 frames per second just walking around… kinda expected but we have seen worse. This is the default configuration which is basically a High preset. Right now a preset system does not seem to be in place. As of today Killing Floor 2 is in early access, meaning that a lot of balancing and features are being added. So, forget about shadows, textures, details and graphics in general because we are going to make this game run. This is the LowSpecGamer where we force detailed game to look like indie experimental shooters half because we like the look, half because our computers can´t really handle a game otherwise. I mean look at all those detailed gory models for enemies, they have so many gross details that make you… am… oh… mmm… nevermind. But it can be a bit intense for a low end system. Is there anything that beats a good old 6 player cooperative zombie killing mayhem? Especially in this wonderful gory themed holiday season? Killing Floor 2 is one of the best ways to spend some time with your friends and get in the Halloween mood, especially for an early access game.
